Mostly flat half marathon, in a lovely setting.
Loop back round the pavillion didn't make for the best finish, but overall a really lovely event that I'd highly recommended.
Paul Keeley
Extraordinary route around a gorgeous part of the world
Love the stewards, love the medal and love that it’s an early start time. I wouldn’t miss it - it’s the first event of my year.
Stuart Tidd
A half of two very different halves.
Been looking forward to this event since we booked it up last December.
It didn't disappoint.
Quite pleased a fellow runner gave me a "heads-up" on the second half though
Sarah Jane Evans
A beautiful scenic route
I really enjoyed this. I appreciated the early start time and the weather was perfect. Mostly tarmac and concrete so easy surfaces to run on. The medal is awesome and the only disappointment is that I would have liked an option to purchase a dinosaur themed shirt to go with it.
Mark Reeks
Excellent course well organised
Bag drop off excellent course lovely well marshalled very enjoyable
Rob Minhinnick
Really enjoyed it
Only part I didn’t was thinking the pavilion was the end then had to do a tiny loop to finish, be nice if this was added into the coarse earlier on.
Paul Yates
Fun and picturesque
TERRY QUINNEY
Positive atmosphere, strong community vibe.
The finishing area felt a bit too close the actual finish line. I had a little trouble slowing down in time, although that could be down to my lack of experience!

My favourite half!
I've run the Weymouth half 3 times now and was Marshall for the 2024th. The new route for 2025 ensured a full 13.1 miles, the route just fell short of this last year due to work in the town. The route takes you along the prim and through some otherwise hidden areas of Weymouth. A flat first 6 miles followed by a more challenging second. Very friendly, great for experienced and beginners. Not too many runners, so no long wait at the start. Well organised bag drop off. Great to have a podium and prizes for three first positions overall and in each age category. The only disappointment is that Weymouth doesn't wake up to the economic potential from such an event. Cafés and Resturants stick to Sunday opening times, missing the revenue that could be obtained from competitors and spectators. Nice to see more spectators this year despite the cold! Well done the organisers and marshals.

total distance wasn’t quite right for me
not happy, my run clocked in at 21.08K at the finish line so it looks like i haven’t even run a half marathon when uploading my stats, shame as I got a PB this run as well!
thank you for the feedback - the course is accurate, as officially measured, but depending where you run on the course, depends what your watch will say. Both Lodmoor Country Park and the Rodwell Trail can sometimes not pick up a signal due to the overhanging trees. If you take a look at peoples strava that did the route, you will find quite a variety of distances.

Really lovely run, agree hills a killer
Ps my daughter hannah Doyle number 85 did half half, came first in her age group, I was wondering if she gets a prize or were they just for half marathon?
thanks for the feedback - half half received finishers medals, no prizes (as per race info).
Lee Keefe
Great race, great views
Great race, great scenery, marshalls were all brilliant. Only thing I would ask is that the actual start line is marked, very difficult to see the timing mats in the crowd.
Richard Lock
Outstanding views, outstanding medal, outstanding day!
Excellent views throughout the course, taking in different areas of the beautiful seaside town
Esther Sherwen
Great first marathon experience
Mark Edwards
Amazing views, interesting course with a few hills but ideal for beginners
Eleanor Morris
I found the route abit boring going up and down preston beach road twice
I thought the route was well marked with plenty of lovely marshalls and made the event for me
Andrew Rawding
Scenic but tough course for PBs
I recommend this as a pre London Marathon training run as mentally it is demanding and great prep for a flatter marathon course with long stretches to develop and sustain pace. This course was very windy (headwind) and windy (lots of sharp turns). As a runner in top 10 for first half, and top 20 finisher I thought there were parts of the course which needed better signage. At some points I had no one in front of me. The thought of possible disorientation can sap energy. I don’t know Weymouth so I wasn’t prepared for the steep hill climbs/gravel. Overall I thought the organisers were friendly and generous with so many age category prizes. A worthwhile event. Thanks.

Wonderful scenery, very well organised
Matt Bracher
Brilliant medal
Fantastic course and amazing medal at the finish
Melanie Holloway
Beautiful scenery, fab route, hills bit of a killer but overall absolutely stunning route, totally enjoyed it & fantastic organisation, thank you for an amazing event, loved it ❤️❤️❤️
