A bit of a chaotic start but apart from that the scenery is amazing and the marshals were, as always, brilliant. The course distance is usually short for this race but this year it was spot on.

This was my first ever half marathon, I enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to take part again next year!

The event was incredibly well organised and everything ran very smoothly, wonderful atmosphere and very well sign postered and the marshals were wonderful, then you to everyone

Brilliant communication from the organisers with route plans, timings, etc. Got my number in plenty of time and the race itself was very well planned from start to finish. The volunteers were great too, cheered us on in a very cold day.

Second time running the Weymouth half (and I got my PB I was so desperate for after taking part for the first time last year and being disappointed with my time!).

Despite the cold, it was a beautiful day with minimal wind. Well organised, plenty of friendly Marshalls and I loved the addition of water bottles being given out at the finishing line instead of cups of water! Last year, a cup was not enough for me!
The medals are ace! I love a bit of bling!
I also love the early start! Despite having to get up early to fuel, it means I have the rest of the day free!
Pre-race literature states no headphones but I saw a lot of people wearing them! Annoying when I like to run with mine but followed the rules and left them at home!

The only thing I would moan about is the finish..having to run past the finish line and running around the roundabout is frustrating! Could you not move it into the car park so we run directly towards it without running back on ourselves? As all the information given out prior to the event states the car park is closed anyway?

Also this year I found the finish funnel very busy with the tables placed there! So much so, I was handed a bottle of water and didn’t get my medal! It wasn’t until I walked away I had asked where the medal people were and had to walk back to the table!

Despite the above..I am a local and will most likely sign up to it again next year!

If i could make one suggestion it would be that it starts a little early. 8am does not really allow time for food and hydration. Our hotel did not start breakfast until 7 so had no time to get breakfast.

If I could make one suggestion it would be 'bring back the buffs'. These were such an awesome bonus to receive at the finish line and I wear mine from previous years all the time. Or have an option to buy one online with new designs each year.

I would have expected a finisher T-shirt for the money paid. I would rather have that than a medal to be honest.

As I approached the split for the 2 events just before the Pavilion the runner
(2056) immediately in front of me had made the decision to pull out of the event so went through gap in railings towards finish area. I continued full course and on going through finish was told runner in front had pulled out. She congratulated me on being 3rd male back. Understandably I was amazed when looking at results to see he had taken the third place without completing either event. This will have put all of us back a position.

Was really well organised. Plenty of water stations and Marshalls were all great.

Great atmosphere and a very scenic course with some great views! Well marshalled and well placed water stations. Race entry is about average but is without the freebies you get from other organisers. I loved the early start time as it meant you finished at the perfect time to take on a post-race refuel at one of the ample local cafes available.
