I found the route abit boring going up and down preston beach road twice
I thought the route was well marked with plenty of lovely marshalls and made the event for me

Scenic but tough course for PBs
I recommend this as a pre London Marathon training run as mentally it is demanding and great prep for a flatter marathon course with long stretches to develop and sustain pace. This course was very windy (headwind) and windy (lots of sharp turns). As a runner in top 10 for first half, and top 20 finisher I thought there were parts of the course which needed better signage. At some points I had no one in front of me. The thought of possible disorientation can sap energy. I don’t know Weymouth so I wasn’t prepared for the steep hill climbs/gravel. Overall I thought the organisers were friendly and generous with so many age category prizes. A worthwhile event. Thanks.

Would have been nice for a bit more hype up from organisers at the start, if not only know we started. I only knew because people started moving forward. Well signposted and fairly enjoyable route with good weather!

Fantastic event!
Scenery is amazing and it's great hearing the waves throughout much of the event. In my opinion, the course change for 2025 was a big improvement. Well organised, enthusiastic marshals, and (as always) a really nice medal for getting to the finish line

Lovely route with a great atmosphere and fantastic marshals.
So nice to have the shorter distance option as a beginner but still feel part of the main event

Beautiful route but ending was a killer
The route was beautiful but there was a lot of going back on yourself, especially at the beginning. The marshalls did a great job and were really encouraging. The only other thing I'd mention would be that I have no idea what my time was, and I cant see any details on the info I've already received about how to find this - im guessing times are announced in the next few days but other smaller half's I've done have had times given there and then
