This was my first ever race and I loved it!
When looking at the results in the car I realized I was first in my age category. We stayed and watched some of the prize giving, and on the way home result came through that I came 1st in my age category for the half half

I didn't know if there were any prizes for this or if it was just for the half marathon

I didn't fill in my sisters details correctly, however 1 email and a reply from Hayley removed my bad feelings. Thanks.
Again another fantastic event, with thousands of beautiful people taking part and supporting. I am lucky to live here and the race is on my doorstep. Anyone thinking of doing their first or another one look no further than Weymouth half marathon.

Overall brilliant race, such a nice place to run! The hills are nasty in the 2nd half, but they’re really short so they don’t hold you up too much. Only two slight grumbles - first one is that the start is not very well organised in terms of splitting into estimated finish times. I looked for one suitable for me but there was one too fast and one way too slow, couldn’t see any others. It didn’t really matter though as the half half runners are mixed in, so it’s a congested start regardless. Second grumble is there’s a very small set of stairs to go up in the second half, not a big deal but did throw me off my rhythm slightly. All in all would 100% recommend this race, and recurved the best medal I’ve had so far

The route was amazing and the scenery too and the marshals and everyone involved was great really loved my weymouth first half marathon

More communication needed, how/when do we get results? This is normally straight away after an event with chip timing.

Only thing I noticed for the 2025 race was I think we took a different route then what the map gave us .

Start time could be an hour later

There was no obvious start sign

I was impressed with the number of drinks stations. Loved the music at the Nothe. All the people manning the event were friendly and supportive.

A good race but a one time only for me. Only because it’s so far away and there are many others.

comments around a cramped start area seem fair if you are in the wrong place for your expected time but this is common even on Park Run. with so many runners (all having a good time) its bound to have bottlenecks but if you are organised you can get around this. really well marshalled, great for supporters who cheered just not their own friends/family. another great Weymouth Half.

Will definitely do this one again

This is the 9th time doing this race and one of my favourites. It's a lovely course with some good pockets of crowd support. Information before the event is very good. Was pleased to see a couple of bands this year, and the course change is really good with a bit better scenery. Would be nice if the goodies at the end returned but knowing costs etc. understand why. Also, it's much better now the public toilets are open again to give people more options. Lastly, the water stations were great.
